My son speaks in third person. I'm sure it's a phase, I hope so. All day it's, "Ya-Ya juice", "Ya-Ya book", "Ya-Ya balloons", and he even says "Bless you Ya-Ya" after sneezing. And he isn't just saying it is his, he is saying he wants it. It's quite funny.

Now you might be wondering, who is Ya-Ya? Isn't it funny how nicknames stick. I remember in Jr. High trying desperately to get people to call me Smitty (my maiden name being Smith and all), but because of my Gymnastics coach calling me brief-case one day (get it, case/Kac) I was known as Briefs for several years. Who wouldn't want that nickname!

Okay, back to Ya-Ya. It started when he was about nine months and would yell ya-ya-ya-ya all day long. We would call him Ya-Ya to get him to start talking because it was so funny. Family members started doing the same thing, but what sealed the deal was his cousin Trajan calling him Ya-Ya. So if you hear Levi talking about Ya-Ya, it's not the Ya-Ya Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, it's his name. But please don't feel like you have to call him that, he responds to Levi too.
